Important:
The installation instructions are not included in the retrofit kit.
Print out the latest installation instructions from the Aftersales
Assistance Portal (ASAP) and issue to the customer.
It may be necessary to replace the "fan cowl with fan".
If a "fan cowl with fan" is reported in the diagram panel in main group 17 for the trailer tow hitch optional extra, this part number must also be ordered and fitted.
If no part number is reported for the trailer tow hitch optional extra, the "fan cowl with fan" does not have to be replaced.
In some engine versions it may be necessary to exchange the heat insulation.
For vehicles with OE322 the smart- opener function must be deactivated.
An exchange of the black band may be required, if a black band is reported for the trailer tow hitch optional equipment on the ITU MG 51 this part number must also be ordered and fitted.
For the JCW package the black band must be exchanged for the basic black band for trailer tow hitch
